How ExpertConnectBC works

Three surfaces, one privacy rule: the public board shows privilege-safe expert needs (no party names). The directory lists only verified construction and engineering professionals. Full matter facts travel only through private RFP invites counsel choose to send.

    Create a role-based account

    Counsel and experts register separately. Site admin is limited to the founding team and is not listed in the public header.

    Experts submit registrant details

    EGBC, AIBC, or ASTTBC number plus credentials. The profile stays off the public directory until an admin records a registry check.

    Counsel post an open request (optional)

    Publish a privilege-safe teaser: discipline, matter type, region, and a short summary. Do not include party names. The first three posts per lawyer do not need Counsel verification; the fourth does. Experts express interest on the platform.

    Counsel browse or shortlist

    Filter the directory by discipline, matter type, region, and expert-witness versus consulting-only. Save a shortlist for a private RFP.

    Send a private RFP

    Describe the file, name parties and counsel for conflicts, and invite only the experts you choose. Uninvited experts never see the matter. Use this path when the file needs conflict details the public board cannot carry.

    Invitees open the private RFP

    Experts you invite can read the matter facts, parties, and any uploaded document. Uninvited experts never see the file.

    Message on the thread

    Counsel and that expert share a secure thread on the RFP. Fees and retainers stay between the parties.
