Process

How ExpertConnectBC works

Two paths, one privacy rule: the public directory shows only verified construction and engineering professionals. Full matter facts travel only through invited RFPs after a conflict questionnaire and NDA.

  1. 1

    Create a role-based account

Counsel and experts register separately. Admin accounts are granted, not self-serve, except in local preview for testing the verification queue.

  2. 2

    Experts submit registrant details

EGBC, AIBC, or ASTTBC number plus credentials. The profile stays off the public directory until an admin records a registry check.

  3. 3

    Counsel browse or shortlist

Filter by discipline, matter type, region, and expert-witness versus consulting-only. Save a shortlist for a private RFP.

  4. 4

    Send a private RFP

Describe the file, name parties and counsel for conflicts, and invite only the experts you choose. Uninvited experts never see the matter.

  5. 5

    Conflict check and NDA

Invitees disclose conflicts and acknowledge a digital NDA before matter facts unlock. Typed acknowledgement is a stub until a production e-sign provider is wired.

  6. 6

    Message on the thread

Once the gate is cleared, counsel and that expert share a secure thread on the RFP. Fees and retainers stay between the parties.
